Micro SUV Swift Cross expected to be launched on this date: Check here

Maruti Suzuki has a number of offerings lined up to launch in India soon, and one among them is expected to be a micro SUV that is based on the Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Suzuki is reportedly working on a tiny SUV, which will most likely be based on the new-generation Suzuki Swift hatchback. The Suzuki Swift Cross is believed to be the name of the new model when it debuts in Japan. However, the anticipated launch is still some years away, with a global debut as late as 2024 being a possibility. The Maruti Suzuki Swift Cross may acquire classic SUV style characteristics including high ground clearance, broad wheel arches and wide bumpers with vertically stacked DRLs, as seen in the photos. In addition, the vehicle’s bumper will include silver-coloured sill plates. The inside features are unknown at this time, but the new model may have a few sporty finishing elements to set it apart from the standard model. The Swift Cross is said to be built on Suzuki’s newest Heartect platform. It might be powered by a turbocharged 1.4-litre engine, similar to the one found in the new Swift hatchback. The engine has a maximum power output of 131PS and a peak torque output of 235 Nm. According to sources, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Cross will compete with Tata Punch, which debuted in India last month. Maruti may introduce it to India to compete with the Punch in a market where the Ignis already exists.
