Lata Mangeshkar has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday after she tested positive for Covid-19. The 92-year-old singing legend is in the ICU ward at the Breach Candy hospital.
Lata Mangeshkar’s niece Rachana told PTI that the legend has mild symptoms, but seeing her age, she has been hospitalised. “She is mild Covid positive. Considering her age, doctors advised us that she should be in the ICU because she requires constant care. And we cannot take a chance. As a family, we want the best and want to ensure she has 24X7 care,” Rachana said, adding, “She will be fine. But it is going to take a while because of her age. And also, Covid-19 takes seven days.”
Today, Janhvi Kapoor revealed on her Instagram stories that she and her sister Khushi Kapoor had also tested positive for Covid-19 on January 3. The actress also said that the first two days were quite tough for them, but now both have now tested negative.
Recently, Janhvi’s brother Arjun Kapoor and sister Anshula Kapoor as well as their cousin Rhea Kapoor and her husband Karan Boolani had tested positive for Covid-19. Today, Sussanne Khan also revealed on social media that she has contacted the virus. Earlier, celebrities including Lata Mangeshkar, Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Arora, John Abraham and his wife, Swara Bhaskar, Mrunal Thakur, Alaya F, Vishal Dadlani, Kubbra Sait, Mithila Palkar and many others had tested positive for the virus.
