Actor Salman Khan film gets whopping amount of Rs 150 crore for post theatrical rights

Salman Khan, who was last seen in Antim: The Final Truth, has several interesting projects in his kitty. Currently, the superstar is busy shooting for the third part of the Tiger franchise. Post which, he is expected to begin work on Sajid Nadiadwala-produced Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Directed by Farhad Samji, the comic entertainer stars Pooja Hedge as the female lead and is among the most-hyped films starring the superstar.

Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is expected to go on floors in Mumbai on March 15. Even before the shooting of a single scene, the film has reportedly received an insane offer for its post-theatrical rights. Yes, you read that right! Well, the makers are still in talks to finalise the biggest deal for digital and satellite rights in Bollywood.

Revealing the same, a source informed Bollywood Hungama, “Sajid Nadiadwala has received offers in the range of Rs. 150 crores for the satellite and digital rights of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and is in conversations with multiple streaming platforms”.

The source added, “Once signed, this would be the biggest non-theatrical deal of all time with conventional window. Being a comic entertainer, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali has fetched great offers from digital world and Salman alongside Akshay Kumar are the only two stars who films have consistently grabbed good television ratings all through their three decade long career. The genre is also known to give rich dividend to digital platforms too”.
