Lucknow: IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has once again written to Ministry of Home
Affairs, Government of India for changing his Cadre from Uttar Pradesh
to any other State. is under consideration before the Central government.
Amitabh had sent this application on 16 June 2016 asking for Cadre change, alleging serious harassment in his service and threat to life, after the Mulayam Singh phone threat. He had again made a
representation to the Central government on 22 September.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has told him that his application was
under consideration before the Ministry. Amitabh has said in his
letter that the situation is deteriorating every day and the State
government officials are treating him as a sworn enemy. He said in the
prevailing conditions, he cannot work anymore in UP and has sought
Cadre change or appointment in some Central government service.
