CBSE will not take registration fees of students who lost parents due to Covid

BSE has asked schools not to take late examination fees from students of Classes 10 and 12 whose parents died due to Covid-19.

CBSE released a letter saying, “CBSE vide letter No.CBSE/LOC/2021 dated 16.09.2021 has communicated to the schools that List of Candidates for Class X and XII Examination 2021-22 will start from 17.09.2021 and contiue till 30.09.2021 without late fees and thereafter, till 09.10.2021 with late fees.”

Further, the letter said, “The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the country adversely and keeping in view of its impact on students, CBSE, as a special measure for Academic Session 2021-22, has decided that neither the examination fees nor the registration fees will be charged by the Board from the students who have lost both parents or surviving parent or legal guardian/adoptive parents due to Covid-19 pandemic.

“Therefore, the schools, while submitting the LOC, will provide the details of these students after verifying the genuineness,” said the letter.
