Delhi schools are unlikely to open anytime soon as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal ruled out the possibility on Thursday.
In a press meet, the CM was asked whether the state government was planning to reopen schools in the state just like a few of the neighbouring states.
“No, no, not now,” the CM said.
“Those who are seeing the international trend know that the third wave will come soon. So, till the vaccination process is not completed, we will not take the risk with our children,” Arvind Kejriwal said.
States where schools have reopened
Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Puducherry and Bihar have reopened schools for certain classes. Madhya Pradesh plans to reopen schools in the last week of July while UP has reopened schools only for staff and faculty.
