Families of journalists died during the line of duty to get Rs 10 lakh, announce UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday announced that financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh will be provided to the kin of journalists who have succumbed due to Covid-19 in the state.

The CM also greeted all journalists on account of Hindi Journalism Day on Sunday.  On his twitter account, Yogi tweeted (sic), “Hindi journalism has contributed immensely to social freedom movement till now.”

Many senior journalists who have lost their lives during the second wave of Covid-19, their families will be compensated with Rs 10 lakh as financial assistance.  UP government has also announced the launch of the Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana, to provide assistance to the orphaned children during the health emergency.
Under his announcement, the government will take care of all such children. Not only that, 4,000 rupees per month will be given to their parents till such children become adults.
