Foreign Ministry rejected the joint statement of Pakistan-China on Jammu and Kashmir

Recently, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi visited Beijing and met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. After this, the mention of Jammu and Kashmir was revealed in the joint statement related to this meeting. The statement issued by the Pakistan Foreign Ministry wrote that “Pakistan side briefed the Chinese side about the deteriorating situation in Jammu and Kashmir, including its concerns, situation and current urgent issues.”

To this “the Chinese side reiterated that the Kashmir issue is a dispute left over from history between India and Pakistan, which is an objective fact, and that the dispute should be resolved peacefully through the United Nations Charter, Security Council related resolutions and bilateral agreements. and should be resolved appropriately. China opposes any unilateral action that complicates the situation.”

The Indian Foreign Ministry on Thursday lodged a protest against the mention of Jammu and Kashmir in the joint statement of China and Pakistan. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, “India categorically rejects any reference to Jammu and Kashmir in such a joint statement. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have been and will be an integral and inseparable part of India.
