Indian players participating in Olympics will get financial help from BCCI

The BCCI in its meeting has announced to provide financial assistance to all the players participating in the Olympics from India. During the meeting, it was decided to give Rs 10 crore for the preparation and training of the players of the country who have qualified for the Tokyo Olympics. The board has taken this special step so that any player going to participate in this Mahakumbh of sports should not face any problem.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah were also present in this meeting. A senior BCCI functionary said, “BCCI will help the Olympic contingent. The Apex Council has approved Rs 10 crore for this. The funds will be used for the preparation and other purposes of the players who qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. The mode of payment will be decided after talking to the Sports Ministry and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).

This amount to be given by BCCI after the removal of Chinese company Lining as the kit sponsor will certainly help the team in many ways, including training and preparation. “BCCI has always believed in helping in the development of Olympic Games and this is not the first time that such a huge amount has been donated. Even before this the board has been helping on many occasions.
