Contrary to how the Indian cricket team has been starting its Test series in the recent past, Virat Kohli’s squad saw significant success on Day 1 of the first Test match against England at Nottingham’s Trent Bridge.
Wrapping up the hosts for just 183 runs in the first innings, Indian openers ended the day with 21 runs on the board with the hopes of carrying on with the momentum and hopefully winning the first red-ball match to take a 1-0 lead.
As it turns out, the day began on a much higher note, not just for the Indian skipper but also for some of his fans from the opposing side, who got something incredible from Kohli, before the match kicked off.
According to a post shared by Twitter user, Robert Burns, Kohli gave away all sorts of exciting merchandise to his baby boy Lucas, who is a very big fan of the Indian skipper and was smiling from ear to ear while holding one of the autographed shoes in his hands.
“Thank you from Lucas Burns @imVkohli you have made an excited boy very happy!! Spikes from the nicest global superstar!!” Robert wrote on the micro-blogging website while sharing the picture of his son with the memorabilia.
It didn’t take long for Team India fans to come across such a special picture online and they did not hold back in showing their friendly envy towards the little boy for getting Virat Kohli’s shoes.
