2. Shreevats Goswami
Even after having a base price of INR 20 lakh, former Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wicketkeeper batter Shreevats Goswami went unsold at the IPL 2022 mega auction. Goswami has a ton of experience in domestic cricket. The 32-year old batter has played a total of 104 T20 matches, amassing 2311 runs at an average of 27.18.
Talking about his IPL career, Goswami has been a part of several franchises over the years including Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rajasthan Royals (RR) and his former franchise SRH. The left-handed batter has played 31 IPL matches in which he has scored a total of 293 runs at an average of 14.65 and playing with a strike rate of almost 100. Goswami also has a fifty under his name.
Some senior wicketkeeper batters like Matthew Wade and Wriddhiman Saha were bagged by the franchises in the later part of the auction. So, it won’t be a surprise if Goswami also makes his comeback in the biggest cricketing league in the world as a replacement.
