Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, who is currently in jail, is apparently miffed with party chief Akhilesh Yadav and is also likely to consider quitting the party. The speculation about the possible rift came to the fore after Khan’s media in-charge Fasahat Khan alias Sanu said that the SP chief doesn’t want Khan to be released from the jail.
“Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s comment was right that Akhilesh Yadav doesn’t want Azam Khan to be out (of jail). We made you and Mulayam Yadav Uttar Pradesh CM but you didn’t make Azam Khan as Leader of Opposition. You only went once to meet him in the jail,” Farsat said at a meeting at the party office in Rampur on Sunday.
