Though Covid cases are decreasing across Karnataka, 78 per cent of the total caseload of the state is now being reported in Bengaluru alone. On Tuesday, the state had reported 129 new Covid-19 cases out of which 101 cases were from Bengaluru.
On the other hand, the state reported two Covid deaths.
STEEP DECLINE IN CASES
Recording a decline among the wards in the city, Bellandur is now reporting seven cases a day, followed by Doddanekkundi, Hagadur, HSR layout, Varthur, Hoodi, Koramangala and Begur, with Vignanan Nagar reporting a single case.
In fact, 27 districts in the state reported zero covid-19 cases on Tuesday.
KARNATAKA COVID TALLY
Recording a steep decline in the number of Covid infections over the last few weeks, Karnataka on Tuesday reported 129 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally to 39,44,041. Of the new cases, 101 were from Bengaluru alone. Meanwhile, the day’s test positivity rate in the state stood at 0.49 per cent.
On the other hand, 206 persons were discharged in the state on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 39,01,636. The active caseload reduced to 2,341.
