Moto E40 to be launched in India on October 12: Expected Price, specifications and more

Motorola is all set to launch yet another budget smartphone in the Indian market. After unveiling the exuberant Moto Edge 20 series, Motorola has now confirmed launching the Moto E40 in India. Motorola has revealed on its Twitter account that the smartphone will be out in India on October 12. Along with the announcement, Motorola has also shared the look of the upcoming smartphone. The Moto E40 would be exclusively launched on Flipkart.

The Moto E40 had appeared on a Romanian website. The listing had revealed some of the key specifications of the smartphone. The E40 comes in a polycarbonate build, a triple-camera setup on the rear along with a typical Motorola fingerprint sensor at the rear of the device. From whatever the listing has revealed, Motorola is expected to arrive with entry-level specifications. In India, it will compete against some of the entry-level smartphones by Infinix, Tecno and more.

Motorola has been quite on a launching spree of late. The company recently launched the Moto Edge 20 and Moto Edge 20 Fusion and then later unveiled the top trim model Moto Edge 20 Pro. Along with the smartphones, Motorola had also unveiled a budget tablet Moto Tab G20. While Motorola Edge 20 series consists of phones in mid-range and premium categories, the Moto E40 is expected to be a budget phone.

Moto E40: Expected price and availability

Motorola has confirmed the launch date of the smartphone but has not shared any details about the price. However, if reports are to be believed, Moto E40 will be priced around Rs 10,000 in India. The smartphone will be sold excusably on Flipkart.

Moto E40 was recently spotted on eMag a retailer site from Romania and the first to spot the listing was tipster Roland Quandt. The smartphone is expected to arrive with a 6.5-inch IPS HD+ panel that comes with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels.

The Moto E40 is rumoured to be powered by Unisoc T700 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The smartphone is expected to house a 4,000mAh battery and may come with a 10W charger. The smartphone will run on Android 11 out of the box and may come with a fingerprint sensor. In terms of camera, the Moto E40 is expected to arrive with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 2-megapixel macro and a 2-megapixel sensor. On the front, there can be an 8-megapixel camera for selfies.
