A few weeks ago, it was revealed that the upcoming Motorola smartphones under development have the codenames Berlin, Berlin NA, Pstar, and Kyoto. Earlier this week, renowned source Evan Blass claimed that the Kyoto phone will be known as the Motorola Edge 20 Lite when it hits the market.
Thus, it is not difficult to conclude that the Berlin, Berlin NA, and Pstar are the rest of the Edge 20 series. All of the essential specs of the rumoured Edge 20 range have been revealed in a new massive leak by Blass.
According to the leaks, The Motorola smartphone with codename Motorola Berlin NA (North America) will feature a 6.78-inch display with FHD 1080×2460 pixel resolution, a 120Hz high refresh rate, and a centre punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
The Berlin and Berlin NA both will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G chipset coupled with up to 8 GB of RAM. There will be a special edition variant of the device with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage as well.
Both smartphones possess a 32-megapixel front camera. The Berlin NA’s rear camera system has a 108-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle/macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Berlin has 108-megapixel + 16-megapixel wide-angle/macro camera + 8-megapixel telephoto lens (3x zoom) triple camera system.
The Berlin NA will have a 5,000mAh battery, whereas the global edition is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. Both phones are loaded with Android 11 OS and a mono speaker.
The Motorola Pstar comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, 12GB RAM, 256GB ROM, 6.67-inch display FHD+ 120Hz display, as well as a 4500mAh battery. Camera-wise, the device will come with a 108 megapixels + 16 megapixels + 8 megapixels rear camera while the front has up to a 32 megapixels front-facing selfie camera.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pstar model is tipped to flaunt a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution display with a similar 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 20 Pstar will draw power from the Snapdragon 870 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Kyoto variant will allegedly pack the Dimensity 720 SoC with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
As mentioned at the beginning of this post, the Kyoto model is expected to launch as Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Hence, it appears that the Berlin/Berlin NA and Pstar may hit the market with the Edge 20+ moniker.
At present, there is no information available on the launch date of the Edge 20 lineup. Apart from these phones, the company is also expected to launch Moto G50 5G and Moto G60S handsets.
