Motorola’s highly anticipated mid-ranger may arrive sooner than expected. The successor to the Edge 20, the Motorola Edge 30, may launch on May 5. Although Motorola has still kept the phone under wraps, the specifications and the expected release date were tipped by a noted tipster. The phone features the typical Motorola design in the renders that have leaked in the past. It bears a strong resemblance to the Edge 30 Pro, launched a couple of days ago. Coming back to the Motorola Edge 30, the upcoming smartphone could be launched in three variants, including a 6GB variant, an 8GB variant and 12GB.The 6GB RAM and 128 GB of storage may arrive with a price tag of EUR 549 (roughly Rs. 45,400). The price of the 8GB variant has not been tipped yet but the price for the 12GB variant could be set at EUR 649 (roughly 53, 600). The smartphone may be launched in colours, including green, grey and Silver colour options.
Motorola Edge 30: Specifications
Motorola Edge 30 features a 6.55-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2,400×1,080 pixels. The display might come with support for 144Hz, but users may get a choice to switch between a 60Hz and a 144Hz refresh rate. The smartphone could be powered by a 778 Plus 5G SoC coupled with up to 12GB of storage and up to 128GB of RAM.
In the camera department, Motorola is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, accompanied by another 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel lens. On the front, there could be a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The smartphone could house a 4,020mAh battery with support for 33W Turbo Power charging technology. The Motorola Edge is expected to run Android 12 out of the box.
