Adani Ports announced that it won’t be handling export and import of cargo originating from Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The move will come into effect from November 15.
“Adani Ports and Sez will not handle EXIM containerised cargo originating from Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan at all its terminals from 15th November,” the statement read.
This comes a month after massive drug seizure from Adani Group-run Mundra Port in Gujarat. On September 14-15, nearly 3,000 kg of Afghan heroin was seized by DRI.
