The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is going to announce the high school (Class 10) results soon. According to the sources, the UP Board Class 10 Result 2021 could be announced this weekend, on July 16 or 17.
Though the UP Class 10 Board Results 2021 are expected to be released this weekend, no official announcement by the state board has been made yet. For further updates, students are requested to keep an eye on the official website of the board, i.e., upmsp.edu.in.
Like most of the boards this year, UPMSP will also declare the result on the basis of special criteria. No merit list will be issued this year due to the non-conduct of examinations and hence, toppers will not be announced for any class.
Significantly, the result of 56 lakh students is going to be announced by the UP board this week. A total of 56,04,628 students have registered for the UP Board exam, which includes 29.4 lakh Class 10 students and 26.10 lakh Class 12 students.
UP Class 10, 12 board exams 2021 cancelled
The Uttar Pradesh government, soon after the decision of the Central Board of Secondary Education, decided to cancel the Class 10 and 12 board exams in the state in view of the rapid increase of Covid-19 cases across the country during the second wave.
Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh Class 10 and 12 board exams for this academic session were scheduled to be conducted in the month of May, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the demands of the students, the exams were first postponed, then cancelled.
After the cancellation of the exams, the UP government decided on special evaluation criteria for the calculation of the results this year. For Class 10 students, 50 percent weightage will be given to Class 9 annual exams and 50 percent weightage will be for Class 10 pre-boards.
