Battleground Mobile India, the homegrown version of PUBG Mobile India, has been embroiled in a controversy. The game came under serious allegations this week when a report by IGN India claimed that Battlegrounds Mobile India was sending data of certain users to a server located in China.
The IGN report claimed that the data of Battleground Mobile India players was being sent to the China Mobile Communications server and that the server to which the data of Battleground Mobile India players was sent belongs to the Chinese state telecom operator. The report states that Battlegrounds Mobile India has also established a connection with Tencent servers.
Battlegrounds Mobile India developer Crafton reacted quickly and issued a statement acknowledging the incident but saying “no data has been shared in violation of the privacy policy.”
