Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has given another absurd statement. On International Day of Yoga on Monday, Oli claimed that yoga originated in Nepal and not India. Oli said that when Yoga came in the world, India did not exist at that time. He was divided into pieces. Oli has earlier said that the real Ayodhya is in Birgunj in Nepal and not in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. He claimed that Lord Ram was born in Birgunj.
Oli said that when Yoga came into the world, there was no India at that time. At that time India was divided into princely states. Oli made this statement at a program organized on the occasion of Yoga Day in Baluvatar. He also claimed that Indian experts were hiding facts, because then India was divided into pieces. International Yoga Day was started in the year 2015 from 21st June. Its resolution was accepted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2014.
He said that we have been culturally suppressed. The facts have been tampered with. We still believe that we gave Sita to the Indian prince Rama. But we did not give Sita to the prince of Ayodhya of India. The real Ayodhya is a village located to the west of Birgunj, not the one it is now built upon. Since this statement, KP Sharma Ol was made fun of not only in India but also on the social media of Nepal.
