lucknow: Dr Bidhan chandra Roy, MRCP FRCS born on 1st July 1882 died on 1st july 1962 his birthday is celebrated as doctors day in india . The present apocalyptic calamity reminded us about the importance of doctors who worked tirelessly. The healthcare infrastructure under such patient load crumbled like a baseless building but doctors and nurses supported it with their dedication and care like atlas supported gaia in Greek mythology. Years of harsh clinical training, dedicated studies ,precious experience and allegiance for patient care have enabled precious heros like Dr Narendra Singh kushwaha who is working as Additional Professor and joint replacement and arthroscopy surgeon in department of Orthopaedics KGMU, Lucknow had performed his duties tirelessly in corona pandemic.
He has done so many life changing orthopedic surgeries including hip and knee replacement surgeries. For instance a 45 year old man who was bedridden since past 10 years will be now able to walk with hip replacement. A 72 years old lady from Kanpur had crippling knee arthritis had gained her pain free life from knee replacement surgery. Dr Kushwaha has experience of a decade and trained from USA and Hong Kong in joint replacement surgeries. On this occasion of doctors day our nation thanks to the doctors who are concerned day and night for the well being of patients.
