Even as Uttar Pradesh government is all geared up to face possible third wave, the  preliminary  results of the sero survey in the state has given some positive  indications.
The sero survey was started in all 75 districts from June 4 in the state. The sero survey included the study of Coronavirus spread in the districts,  population affected and presence of antibodies in the people to fight against corona. The initial results of sero survey have shown high percentage of antibodies among those who were affected by the Corona.
Earlier, during the first wave of Corona, sero survey was conducted in 11 districts of Uttar Pradesh in September last year. These districts were  Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Prayagraj, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Kaushambi, Baghpat and Moradabad.
It has come as a sign of relief for Yogi government which has already focussed on testing and vaccination to tackle the third wave of corona on a war footing.       Despite the decrease in the number of active cases in the state, the formula of Trace, Test and Treat i.e triple-T is being pursued vigorously.
The infection rate in the state has come down to less than 0.1 percent, while the recovery rate has reached 98.5 percent. In more than 50 districts, the number of active cases is less than 50 with total number of active cases in the state is 3,423.
More than 2.69 lakh samples were tested in the last 24 hours while only 226 new positive cases were reported.  Over 5.65 crore Covid tests  have so far been done in Uttar Pradesh.
